Projects

I pursue a lot of little projects here and there. I'm not sure the best way to organize and display them here. So what you see on this page right now is in no way complete. Many of the projects I'm working on are ongoing. The projects I have listed here are only snippets to show the kind of things I'm always working on. (Ultimately, please consider this page to be under heavy construction.)

Mac.LTL

This is a small blog I maintain and write for about Macintosh and Apple related subjects. I have several bloggers writing for Mac.LTL. It's intent is just to be a fun site for a small community to share their opinions and thoughts and their own projects they're working on.

Virtual Pigeon

Ultimately, I suppose this is a complete project, or at least a very much idle one. It's a shop I started with a friend to sell various shirts and other apparel. It's still fun to receive a check every so often from sales. Many of the shirts are original designs and concepts from myself.

City.LTL

I really enjoy city simulation games and this is a site to share some of my video game accomplishments and tips and tricks and hacks. There is a strong focus on SimCity 4, but I do play many other games. The joy I get from the game comes from getting everything balanced. Balancing the budget, industry demand, land use, utilities, environment, transportation and noise pollution, etc. The larger your city gets, the more variables you have to account for and the more difficult it is to get everything balanced out so aspects of your city don't go into decline.

This site is an ongoing project as I continue playing. The site includes downloads of cities, an AppleScript for SimCity 4 to repeatedly enter cheat codes, special bitmap files I edited for creating extra large regions, and several screenshots of cities I've created.

Shyla The Cat

http://shylathecat.com/

This is another ongoing project of mine. My personal goal is to broaden and expand my horizons for the arts and learn more about graphic design. Shyla is a cute, vegetarian cat with several other cat friends. She's drawn using Inkscape, the free and open source vector graphics program, which I am becoming increasingly more proficient with.

Currently, Shyla has a few brief comic strips, other images, wallpapers, shirts and stickers available for purchase, and several eCards available for you to send special Shyla messages to your friends via E-mail.

In the future, I hope to continue adding more content and perhaps create a Shyla coloring book, both available for purchase and as PDF files available to download and print for children.

oMATHe

This is an old and very much incomplete project I'm still very hopeful I'll return to. It was made when I first sat down to learn some PHP. It's a math program for practicing addition, subtraction, and multiplication. I made it quite some time ago, so I don't think it accurately reflects my programming abilities with PHP.

PU Case Mod

http://mac.lowetechlabs.com/?p=94

This is a small project I completed in high school. It is a case using polyurethane foam. It was very light and durable. I used a bunch of old computer parts to make it and it was very useful as a server at LAN parties.
